About Knights of St. Jerome
Our Mission
Founded in 1885, Knights of St. Jeromes was originally established to provide mutual aid, spiritual fellowship, and burial support to African American families—many of whom were descendants of formerly enslaved people in Southern Maryland.
Today, the Knights continue that legacy through faith-based service, charitable outreach, and community engagement across St. Mary’s County.
